NOWBC Co-op Needs Your Orders To Continue!
Dear Members, Customers and All,
In 2011, participation in NOWBC Co-op's on-line farmers market began shrinking. Orders dropped
in half from their peak of 120 orders a week in 2010 to a mere 65 orders a week. The on-line farmers market cannot cover its costs at that volume. Word went out January 6, 2012 that if interest remained below 100 orders a week, NOWBC's board of directors must consider closing the market. People responded, and orders have maintained between 104 and 124 each week from January 6th to present!
If you think NOWBC is worth doing, please continue to keep the movement alive:
- Vote with your food order again now and every week! Order lots and order regularly.
- Recruit your friends (registration fees are waived until further notice!).
- Participate in some of NOWBC's new offerings like our upcoming summer community supported agriculture program with Close To Home Organics (and thank you to those participating in our recent 12 week seafood program!).
Finally, a tremendous thank you to those who have been ordering every week all along, thank you for making it happen.
